Maria Tsaguriya

aka goddess of georgia

Performances are a tribute to many goddesses throughout history and include ritualistic ceremonies that creates a bridge for people to connect with the feminine divine in us all. They began performing drag and burlesque before delving into performance art. Inspired by the alternative music and art scene in Brooklyn, rock and roll and local rap musical talents that shaped their community, they sought to be part of the void where the arts connected people from all scenes. An avid life painter, photographer and videographer, the goddess seeks to suspend the everyday performance of life in a timeless bubble. Creator of Cult 23 a performance art show in Brooklyn, the goddesses' international upbringing, has given them a special interest in bringing people together of diverse backgrounds. Eternally an alien and outsider to this world they bridge the gap in different cultural scenes.
